Dental Trauma

Injury to your teeth, gums, jawbone or soft tissues of your mouth from accidents, such as falls, car wrecks and sports-related injuries are the main cause of traumatic dental injuries.

Although, it’s most commonly happens in Children and teens but it Can happen to anyone, anywhere at any time.

Common examples of Dental Trauma:

  • Broken or Chipped or Cracked Tooth
  • Dislodged teeth (Luxation)
  • Knocked-out teeth (Avulsions)
  • Tooth jammed into a socket (Intrusion)
  • Soft Tissue Cuts and Injuries such as Lip or Tonge Lacerations
  • Jaw Bones Fractures or dislocations

Dental Infection

Infection in mouth or teeth or gum can be caused by many reasons like Dental Trauma, Untreated Gum Disease, Untreated Cavities or Broken Teeth.

Microbes from these infected or Injured sites can spread too quickly leading to other problems like: Dental Abscess, Facial Swelling, Headaches, Earaches, tooth loss, bacteremia or even spread to you neck or your brain.

Dental Infection can be treated by: Drainage of the infection or Pus, Antibiotics, Tooth extraction, Root Canal Therapy, Gum Therapy.

Dental Abscess

Untreated Cavities have microbes in it that can spread through the nerve of the tooth to the underlying bone, causing damage to it, leading to pus sacks in the bone and cyst formation.

Accumulated Pus, Microbes and blood will form a Dental Abscess which is extremely painful and can cause facial swelling.

Dental Abscess can be treated by Drainage the accumulate pus, Tooth Extraction or Root Canal Therapy, Oral or IV Antibiotics, IV Fluids or even Hospitalization and Rest.

Facial Swelling

Usually is very painful and can cause you to become uncomfortable and dizzy!

Facial Swelling most of the time is caused by Dental Infection, Dental Abscess, or Dental Trauma. This leads to accumulation of Blood, Pus, Bacteria in a localized area in the face as your body try to contain it and fight it.

Facial swelling can cause tenderness, pain, feeling itchy, tingles and hot to touch. Facial swelling if left untreated can lead to the spread of the infection to other areas in the body such as eye, neck or even brain. It can lead to hospitalization if left untreated.

Facial Swelling is usually treated by treating the cause, This can include; Drainage of the accumulate pus, Tooth Extraction or Root Canal Therapy, Oral or IV Antibiotics, IV Fluids or even Hospitalization and Rest.

Broken or Chipped or Cracked Tooth

Sudden Trauma, Wear and Tear, Untreated Dental Cavities all can lead to Chipped, Cracked and Broken Teeth.

Chipped, Cracked and Broken Tooth or Teeth can cause you to lose self-confidence. If left untreated, it can lead to tooth loss or even a dental abscess or infection.

Broken or Loose or Damaged Partial Or Complete Dentures

Whether you have Full Denture or Partial Denture and suffer from Broken or chipped teeth in denture, Broken denture base, Broken denture clip (metal), Lost or misplaced denture. Denture rubbing and causing discomfort.
